Landscape Design #01 - Stadium - James
Final Stadium Painting
Process Shots
1. A basic model was produced in Maya to create a perspective for the piece that was correct. it was rendered in an 'Ambient Occlusion' pass.
2. The basic scene was sketched on top of the render.
3. Shadows and highlights were roughed in.
4-5. Colour and detail was then added and built up to produce the final outcome.
6. Due to team feedback the scene was colour corrected to give more of a warm atmosphere.

Final Animation Idea
We spent time looking over our different ideas for the animation and found a way of integrating them into one plausible animation.
A Team Called AAA – Animation Pitch
Start with
establishing shot of stadium, the athlete starts the scene, a gunshot blasts
through stadium, he begins the race. Camera moves from his face down around his
body where a text flies around saying ‘revolutionise the way you interact with
sports’ Cut to show ‘S’ Cuts back to
another athlete rowing, as the oars comes out the water the water splashes and
turns to text saying, ‘Get more enjoyment out of your favourite sport’ Cuts to ‘P’ Cuts
back to another sport football, ball
flying through air into the as it hits the net the net text flies out ‘Interact
over your favourite social media social media’ with Facebook, twitter etc logo
circling Camera cuts to a
‘1’ appearing on screen. Cut back to the
race from the beginning of the animation, just as the athlete is crossing
finish line, the finish line ribbon breaks, Text flies out saying ‘All powered
by SP13’ finally and 3 appear the finish with the SP13 logo

Finally they crossing the eighth hurdles, the background is change to the The Olympic Games track and field venues. They are exciting and intensely run and jump over the last two hurdles. Then camera tracking one boy which win this competition and shorting around him when he stop running. The boy hands up and open, the light in this venues are to light and make it to seems as twinkle frames. The end is the logo SP 13.
The background no need too much changes, just change few lights color and slogans makes them venues different. The cheers of the crowd as the background music louder and louder.

I want to work with Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, After Effect. A 3D animation and character design.
David Lloyd - Animation Treatment
Animation Treatment Planned Release Date: April 2013
Sports Platform 13
Client - 13 Strides
David Lloyd - L1061243
The group has been asked to create a 30 second animation to promote the
company known as ‘13 Strides’ and their Content Management System app ‘Sports
Platform Thir13en’.
The Concept
The idea is to use the logo as the main feature of the animation.
What will happen in the beginning is that music starts and the video fades into
the logo (Music choice pending). The camera will then zoom into multiple individual
pixel/squares of the ‘8’scoreboard type logo. For the first square it show football
footage where a ball will go into the back of a net and an effect will come off
the impact with text that says about how great the CMS User Interface is and
how easy it is to use. The camera will zoom out of the box and zoom into
another. This time showing athletes running with text following there leg
movement saying that the CMS can analyse tweets and be used for any sport. The
camera will repeat another zoom out and zoom in. The next sport will then be
either swimming or rowing. As the characters go past in pool the camera will
zoom out showing the footage on a laptop. The laptop will then switch into a
tablet and finally a phone. With the text saying something along the lines of
‘the app works across different types of devices. The phone then turns into the
company logo with a tag line appearing ‘Understanding the sporting audience’.
The music and the logo then fade to black.
Some main
points to be explained
Football, Athletes and many different
sporting types can use this
Explains it’s a CMS & how firms will
benefit [Great U.I]
How it can analyse i.e Tweets
App on mobiles tablets Desktop/Laptop
Fantasy Sport League
Style & Method
This project will
be done in using 3D and 2D
The music will
more than likely be pre existing music instead of the group making it
The dynamic text
that will appear in the animation will be done in after effects
Final compositing:
Adobe After Effects or maybe Nuke
3D Package –
Autodesk Maya will be the primary software choice for the modeling and rigging
etc. as the whole group has experience using it
File Format. .Mov
– H.264 /1280 x 720 /

Animation Treatment - Louis Hua
Team member: Jack Wallace, James Robertson,
David Lloyd, Haiman Zhang, Mengyi Hua.
The screen flashed a grid-like number 8,
which keeps flashing and changing. At the beginning, number 8 changes to the
capital letter S and letter P. After that, it becomes 1 and 3. Finally it
changes back to the sign of sp13, the number 8.
At the next part, the grid-like number 8 is
transformed into a modern mobile phone with large amount of mobile
applications. After that the lens moves to the screen of the phone, which is
playing a marathon running race. The picture appears a vigorous athlete Ben,
who is sweating heavily, running ahead of the others. When the camera moves to
the spectator area, his coach who looks seriously was standing there. He gives
Ben the water and so on and waits him to run through.
When Ben is running to his coach, he gets a
bottle of water and a modern mobile phone from his coach. Ben picks up the
phone and relish watching it, which is playing an unusually exciting football
game. The game is so intense therefore Ben does not want to miss a single
match.
Goal! Scored a goal! The team, which Ben
supports, wins the match. Ben is excited when he is looking at the screen, and
cheers with them. At last, Ben puts the phone into his pocket, and keeps on the
race. Eventually, Ben wins the marathon victory.
BEN is waving the phone to show the team
that he supported and himself of victory on the podium. The last shots had move
back to the phone screen. The Number 8 appears again.
